Loretta Ortiz Ahlf

Minister Ortiz Ahlf is a graduate of the Free School of Law, holds a master's degree in Human Rights from the Universidad Iberoamericana, and a doctorate in Human Rights and European Community Law from the National University of Distance Education in Spain.

She is a member of the National System of Researchers, Level III. She was Director and professor of the Department of Law at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City. Nationally, she has taught at the Universidad Panamericana, the Matías Romero Institute, and the Escuela Libre de Derecho. Internationally, she has taught at the Academy of International Law in The Hague, Netherlands.

He has published several articles on international law and human rights, including "Public International Law," "The Internal and International Regime of Treaties," and "The Three Aspects of the Protection of Human Rights."

She served as Advisor to the Legal Counsel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Advisor to the Deputy General Director of the Bank of Mexico; Legal Director of the National Council for Culture and the Arts; Legal Advisor to the NAFTA Environmental Cooperation Agreement; Advisor to the National Human Rights Commission; Federal Deputy; Member of the Drafting Group of the Mexico City Constitution; and Advisor to the Federal Judiciary.

Since December 12, 2021, she has been a Minister of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, assigned to the Second Chamber (Administrative and Labor).
